| | Homecoming Parade to feature Arrows of all ages | | |
Clinton's annual Homecoming Parade will feature all the staples of a HoCo parade, like the maids, the CHS Band and floats from the Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors.
But the parade down Arrow Drive will also feature students from across the district who are members of clubs, members of athletic teams and those who have met academic goals.
The annual Homecoming Parade will still start at 4:00pm on Thursday, September 18 following the traditional route from Traceway to Clinton High School.
The Homecoming Football game will start at 7:00pm on Friday, September 19 at Arrow Field.

Northside's third grade state scores improve from previous year
The recent release of state test scores from the Mississippi Department of Education revealed last year’s third graders at Northside Elementary School placed in the Top-Ten of third grade students across the state in English Language Arts and mathematics.

Eastside state test scores place campus in Top-Five in ELA, Math
With the release of the 2025 MAAP scores, Clinton’s Eastside Elementary teachers and students found their mathematics and English Language Arts scores in the top tier of the state.

Clinton's MAAP science scores place students in top echelon
According to Mississippi Department of Education’s 2025 student performance science data, Clinton’s science scores again ranked the district in the top-tier.
Fifth graders at Eastside ranked 3rd in the state and eighth graders at CJHS ranked 2nd in the state.

Clinton Fire Chief Levius Buckley visits Clinton Success Center
Clinton Fire Chief Levius Buckley visited students at the Clinton Success Center on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, where spoke about the importance of setting goals, staying focused and making positive choices.
Chief Buckley also encouraged students to seek out strong mentors and choose friends who want to see them win, reminding them that no one achieves success alone.

We thrive on getting to see them excited and in their elements. Extracurriculars are absolutely essential to the success of a school because they provide our kids with outlets to be themselves.
Getting involved has really helped me feel like I’m making a difference in ways that go beyond academics. I truly get to see the best in the students that take part in those clubs.

If your first year is going anything like my first year did, you are now all out of ideas, time, and energy. The Board of Trustees meet on the second Tuesday of every month.

| | Lady Arrows Golf place Second at NWR Invitational | | |
The Lady Arrow Golf team won second place at Northwest Rankin’s Lady Cougar Invitational on Wednesday at Bay Pointe Golf Course.
Harpter Davis (left), Ellyn Burchfield, Kasey Pigg and Laney Mitchell all finished in the individual top 10. Wednesday’s second-place spot was the best finish so far this season.

Arrow Golf finishes fifth in Arrows Invitational at Live Oaks
The Clinton High School Men's Golf team competed in the Arrows Invitational on Tuesday at Live Oaks Golf Club.
Anderson Schoggin led the Arrows with his 88 strokes, finishing individually in 16th place, and the team placed fifth overall at the invitational.
Schoggin shot four pars on Live Oak's back nine, scoring six-over par. The back-nine performance bounced back the sophomore after an 11-over performance on the front.

Lady Arrows XC scores perfect 15, win French Camp Invitational
It is not often that a cross country team achieves a perfect 15 score, but the Clinton High School Women's Cross Country team did exactly that feat on Saturday morning.
The Lady Arrows landed its five scoring runners in the top five of the French Camp Invitational's 5000m race, winning the team competition handily with a perfect 15 score. Those runners were Olivia Gibbs, Riley Moore, Caroline Henry, Eleanor Wilson, and Lily Sisson.
Gibbs led the pack with finish of 20 minutes, 55 seconds, winning the race as the first-placed individual. Moore added a second-place time of 21:16, and Henry placed third overall with her time of 21:57. Wilson completed the roughly three-mile course in 22 minutes, three seconds, and Sisson added her finish of 22 minutes, 30 seconds.

Arrow XC wins at French Camp
The Clinton High School Men's Cross Country team put on a dominating display at the French Camp Invitational on Saturday.
The Arrows landed had 10 finishers inside the top 15 of the 5000m race, winning the team competition handily with the lowest score of 19 points. Godwin Onyia won the individual competition and set the pace for Clinton with his time of 17 minutes, five seconds.
Onyia shaved off 16 seconds from his previous 5000m race time at the Fleet Feet Tupelo Invitational on September 6, and Saturday's time set a new personal record for the sophomore.

CAST hosts 2nd Clinton Invitational
The Clinton Arrows Swim Team (CAST) hosted its second-ever Clinton Invitational meet on Saturday.
The Lady Arrows and Arrows competed against Germantown, Madison Central, Jackson Public School District, St. Andrew's and Ridgeland. The women's and men's teams placed fourth overall in the team competitions.

The Clinton High School Football team made too many mistakes against the Brandon Bulldogs on Friday night.
These miscues are fixable, but the game's result goes down as the first defeat of the season.
Clinton senior placekicker Braylon Spann converted all three of his field-goal attempts, but penalties and turnovers were too costly as the Arrows (2-1) dropped their non-district contest to the Bulldogs, 14-9, at Bulldog Stadium.
"The turnovers are one thing, but the penalties probably frustrated me more than anything," Clinton Head Football Coach Hamer Morgan said. "The five-yard penalties that create problems for any momentum. We have to clean those up."

PREGAME NOTES: Pearl Pirates
The Clinton High School Football team looks to get back to its winning ways and clean up some miscues on Friday night.
In addition to a new opportunity, the Arrows will host their homecoming game when they play the Pearl Pirates at 7 p.m. on Arrow Field. It is the fourth non-district game for both teams.
