| | CJHS remains at the top with release of test scores | | |
With the release of the 2026 MAAP student performance data from the Mississippi Department of Education, teachers and students at Clinton Junior High School found themselves in the Top-5 of mathematics and English Language Arts for seventh and eighth grades.
Eighth grade scores ranked CJHS third in mathematics and fifth in ELA.
Seventh grade scores ranked CJHS 4th in mathematics.

Fall Break for the Clinton Public School District is scheduled for September 28 through October 2. All campuses will be closed during the week of Fall Break.
CPSD’s Central Office will be closed Monday, September 28 and Tuesday, September 29 and will resume business hours starting Wednesday, September 30.
Clinton’s ArrowSession will be held from Monday, October 5 through Friday, October 9.
Instruction for the second nine weeks will start on Monday, October 13.

Clinton Public School District Nurse Anna Grace Carter visited Lovett students to talk about good hygiene habits students can create as they continue to grow up.
Accompanied by CHS senior Anna Raines, a Health Science Intern with Clinton's Career and Technical Education Center, the duo discussed handwashing techniques, brushing your teeth and how germs can spread easily.
Nurse Anna Grace has visited multiple campuses educating students about healthy habits.

Parents with students riding the bus to and from school have a new method of keeping up with their child in the morning and in the afternoon.
Clinton Public School District’s Department of Transportation is utilizing The Zonar App that allows parents to keep track of their student’s bus via GPS.
Parents and guardians can download The Zonar App on both Apple and Android devices through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
In order to utilize the app, parents will enter the CPSD School Access Code, CLI3627. Parents and guardians will then search for their student’s bus route.
Once that information is inserted, parents and guardians will need to enter their student’s Student ID number.

The Clinton Public School District's Board of Trustees will hold its monthly meeting at 7:00pm on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, in the Central Office Boardroom.
The Board of Trustees meet on the second Tuesday of every month.
These meetings are open to the public.

The Clinton High School football team returns to Arrow Field Friday night as the Arrows take on Petal in non-region action.
Clinton (1-3) and Petal (4-0) will kick off at 7 p.m. at Arrow Field on the campus of Clinton High School.
Tickets can be purchased through GoFan.
Friday is Homecoming at CHS. The Clinton cheer squads will perform prior to kickoff at 6:35.
The 2026 Homecoming Court will be presented at halftime, with the coronation of the 2026 Homecoming Queen and Princesses concluding the festivities.
For a complete guide to Friday's visit to Arrow Field, including facility policies, game-day procedures, and much more, the Clinton Athletics Office has provided a comprehensive game-day guide. The can be found HERE.
Fans unable to attend Friday's game can follow the Arrows through a video broadcast on HudlTV or a simultaneous audio broadcast on WJNT 1180 AM-96.9 FM.

Arrows roll past Pearl for first win
The Clinton High School football team trounced the Pearl Pirates, 41-13, in a non-region game on Friday, September 18, at Ray Rogers Stadium on the campus of Pearl High School.
Clinton returns to action Friday, September 25, when it hosts Petal for the 2026 Homecoming Game at Arrow Field on the campus of Clinton High School. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

Ladies Golf captures Choctaw Central title
The Clinton High School women's golf team captured the Choctaw Central Girls September Invitational championship on Wednesday, September 16, at Dancing Rabbit Golf Club.
The Lady Arrows led wire to wire, finishing atop the team standings with a score of 169 to edge Itawamba Agricultural High School by two strokes over the 18-hole competition.

Women's XC sweep team, individual titles at Valhalla Invitational
The Clinton High School women's cross country team won the Warren Central Valhalla Invitational in dominant fashion on Saturday, Sept. 19, on the campus of Warren Central Intermediate School.
Riley Moore paced the Lady Arrows, winning the individual championship with a time of 21:20.2 in the 5000m race.
Clinton finished with 22 points, defeating runner-up St. Andrew's Episcopal School by 28 points.
The Lady Arrows return to action on Saturday, September 26, at the Clinton Arrows Invitational on the campus of Clinton High School.

Men's XC sweep team, individual titles at Valhalla Invitational
The Clinton High School men's cross country team completed a sweep of the team and individual titles at the Valhalla Invitational on Saturday, September 19, at Warren Central Intermediate School.
Godwin Onyia won the individual championship and paced the Arrows with a time of 17:10.6 in the 5000m race.
Clinton finished with 27 points, outpacing runner-up St. Andrew's Episcopal School by 18 points. The Arrows posted an average scoring time of 17:50 with a team scoring spread of 1:04.
Clinton returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Clinton Arrows Invitational on the campus of Clinton High School.

The Clinton Athletics Department would like to remind fans of important Arrow Field and Clinton Public School District (CPSD) athletic facility guidelines.
These policies apply to all athletic facilities operated by CPSD, including Arrow Field, the Clinton High School and CJHS gyms, Arrow Baseball Field, Arrow Tennis Courts, and Lady Arrow Softball Field.
Facility Guidelines:
- Students will not be allowed to bring backpacks in the stadium, gymnasium, or fields.
- Adults may bring necessary bags such as diaper bags and other necessary bags
- Children and students in 8th grade or below must be accompanied by a parent or adult to enter the facility.
- Adults supervising students are responsible for student behavior during the event.
- Anyone failing to follow these facilities guidelines will be asked to leave the game and premises.
Let's continue to make Arrow Field and all CPSD athletic facilities a safe and family-friendly environment for all fans.

The ACT will be given at CHS as an "on paper" test on October 17 and December 12.
The deadline to register for the October 17 test is Friday, September 11. The deadline to register for the December 12 test in November 6.
