In a recent hands-on science activity, Lovett students engaged in identifying and sorting the organelles found in eukaryotic cells of plants and animals.
This interactive exercise allowed them to explore the unique structures, such as the nucleus, mitochondria, and chloroplasts, while learning about the specific functions of each organelle.

Whether the students realize it or not, while they are learning how to troubleshoot a computer program or why a vehicle isn’t starting, they are learning to problem solve. That skill alone can be carried in any direction they want after high school and is extremely valuable in the workforce.

| | | Tamikia Billings, Director of Student Services and Student Assessment | | When it comes to serving our students, both academically and personally, the use of data is critical to our decision making. The goal is not only to achieve a certain score or reach a certain mark on a state assessment, but rather, the goal is to assist students in their efforts to grow and become the best version of themselves they can be. By using data, our teachers can identify areas of growth and use their own expertise inside a unified, caring community. | | | | CPSD Board meeting scheduled for Sept. 9 | |

| | Clinton bruises Warren Central, wins opener | | |
Running back Braylon Lowery did not realize he had crossed the goal line on the Clinton Arrows' opening drive against the Warren Central Vikings.
It was an unfamiliar feeling. The sophomore, converted linebacker had powered his way into the end zone from six yards out to cap the drive, which shredded through the Warren Central defense.
"I didn't realize I had score," Lowery said after the game. "I have never been a running back; so it was my first touchdown."
It was Lowery's first career touchdown and the opener of a three-score night as the Arrows battered the Vikings 45-13 on Friday at Arrow Field.
