We will have a quick Q&A at the beginning of Roundtable so come prepared with questions!

Our November Camporee is occurring in person on November 20th-22nd at Broad Creek! We need more sign ups to make the event happen. If you want to participate don't wait to sign up, registration closes this Friday October 16th.

Continuing the fun from this summer, the Baltimore Area Council is proud and excited to launch the fall edition of our Cub Scout Adventure Boxes! Each rank specific box (one for October, one for November) is filled with nearly everything you need to complete four or more elective Cub Scout Adventures at home and kickstart your Scouts advancement to the next rank this fall!
We've even added a shooting sports option and also the option to purchase a cool BAC hat!

Unit Commissioner Interest Sessions
Are you looking for a way to give back to Scouting? Our district could benefit from having more Unit Commissioners. Unit Commissioners are the liason between units and District/ Council resources. If you are curious as to what a Unit Commissioner does please consider coming to a Unit Commissioner Interest Session on either Oct 28th or Nov 1st. Sign up HERE

Awards
Silver Beaver Nominations
Do you know a volunteer who has given their time and effort to the Scouting movement? We want to know! We are currently searching for those Arrowhead District rock stars to honor and appreciate by giving them the highest council award, the Silver Beaver. Nominations need to be received by Nov 2nd to be considered. The ceremony will be virtual this year.

NOESA
The National Outstanding Eagle Scout Award is a prestigious recognition granted by the local council’s NESA committee to Eagle Scouts who have demonstrated outstanding achievement at the local, state, or regional level. The NOESA recognizes Eagle Scouts whose efforts have made a positive impact in the community. To find out more and to nominate someone for the NOESA click HERE
Advancement

  • Merit Badge Counselors please check Scoutbook to make sure your merit badge offerings are showing. If something is missing contact Arrowheaddean@gmail.com by August 20th. Thanks!

  • Eagle Scout Boards of Review have been conducted. However, the paperwork (troop level responsibility) has not been turned in to Council. This is an unnecessary delay for your scout to receive confirmation from National that your scout is indeed an Eagle Scout.
Council Events
Eagle Mom Ceremony- Honor our 2020 Eagle Mom of the year Pam Fleagle on Nov 15th. You can register HERE
Council Recognition Dinner- Join us on Oct 27th to recognize some of our Council's most dedicated volunteers. You can register HERE
Thank you to everyone who has supported our 2020 Campaign. Our Friends of Scouting Campaign directly impacts the strength of our Scouting program. Due to the uncertainty caused by the Coronavirus our fundraising efforts were slowed. We are in the process of rescheduling unit presentations. If your unit has not had an presentation yet please reach out to ssexton@baltimorebsa.org to schedule something. We have new fundraising campaign pages and online giving methods that could fit your unit. If you would like to donate click the link below. If you donate online make sure to designate Arrowhead as your District on the left panel of the screen. Thank you for your support.
Shooting Sports Day:
If your unit wants to shoot rifle, shotgun, or archery you can sign up for a shooting day HERE
Broad Creek
Family Camping: We are offering Family Camping at Broad Creek. Check out our WEBSITE to find our more information and book your stay.

Troop Camping: Your Troop can camp at Broad Creek. You will need approval from your COR and IH. Make a reservation at our WEBSITE.

Renovations: We have completed our underground water and electric facilities. This will insure more reliable power and cleaner water for our campers. If you want to check out camp or help volunteer your time reach out to our Ranger, Tom Wagner HERE
