Welcoming Spring in Panama City

Join us for the 54th Bay Art Annual Competition, a juried art contest and exhibition featuring the work of local artists. Hosted by the Bay Arts Alliance and the Panama City Center for the Arts, the competition and exhibition will be on display April 10 - May 4.

Explore the creative side of Historic Downtown Panama City. 15 local art galleries and pop-up galleries have joined together to bring you the Downtown Panama City Art Walk on April 12. Each gallery will serve up delightful and unique art exhibits accompanied by live music, complimentary hors d'oeuvres, beverages, door prizes and more! Art Walk participants will discover the rich and varied offerings of the downtown art district. Pick up your map at any of the participating galleries and follow a self-guided tour of art around downtown! The event is free and open to the public.

Celebrate the coming of spring on April 14 at the 21st Annual Blessing of the Fleet and Sock Burning - yes, burning of actual socks! Bring your own socks and watch them go up in flames in a porcelain bathtub by the water. This fun and whimsical event is one of Panama City's quirky and #UniquelyPC traditions. Held at the St. Andrews Marina, the event starts off with a fish fry, followed by the sock burning and ending with the processional of water vessels. The event will be held in conjunction with the Great Porsche Armada.

How to #EXPLOREPC 50 Awesome Ways Under $50

More and more we want to be travelers - not just tourists. We want to experience our destination like a local. As travelers, we want to know all the best places to eat, shop, stay, and play! Located in Northwest Florida, Panama City and Panama City Beach are separated by the Hathaway Bridge. It's a relatively small bridge, that offers a connection to the best of both worlds. Most everyone knows the Panama City Beach side for its beautiful white sand beaches, but not everyone knows about the plethora of cool places on the Panama City side. We've put together this fun little list, so that you'll understand why we #LovePC. From ecotourism, to the eccentric little shops and the mom & pop restaurants that will blow your mind, Panama City, is a beautiful bayside city that should be on everyone's bucket list.
