Creative Alliance is hosting a free opening reception this Friday, January 7, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. featuring the works of Baltimore-based painter, printmaker, and photographer Ariston Jacks. VIRTUAL DANCE CLASS
For Elders & Their Caregivers
Elders and their caregivers are invited every second Saturday to Dance & Bmore's Online Elder Arts Jam. This is a creative space for senior citizens to dance, talk, share recipes, stories, laugh, and sing. Classes include music, movement, games, health tips, and an open mic segment for folks to share songs, poetry, and memories. Night Swim at Project 1628
This is the last week to see Katie Pumphrey's solo exhibition “Night Swim” at Project 1628 in the Bolton Hill neighborhood. In response to the current surge in Covid, attendance will be limited to 20-minute time slots, six visitors at a time. There will time slots available between 2:00–5:00 p.m. on January 8–9. Stories About Baltimore's Music Scene
In 2008, Rolling Stone named Baltimore the Best Music Scene in the nation. Ten years later, it dubbed Ottobar one of the nation’s Best Music Clubs. Now, The Stoop Storytelling Series is partnering with WTMD and Ottobar to present an evening of tales from some of the wild, and wildly talented, folks who’ve created Baltimore’s music scene, past and present. Hosted by The Stoop's Jessica Henkin and WTMD's Sam Sessa, the event is on Thursday, January 13, at 7:30 p.m.

The annual Open House Plus series at The Cloisters kicks off on January 15, from 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Newly engaged couples and their families are invited to tour the castle and meet with an array of local vendors who can assist with planning needs.
