Things to See & Do in Baltimore
The annual Open House Plus series at The Cloisters continues this Saturday, January 29, from 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. As the steward of this incredible property, BOPA invites newly engaged couples and their families to tour the castle and meet with an array of local vendors who can assist with all planning needs. Visitors and guests will need to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test taken within 24 hours to attend this event. ERNEST SHAW JR.'S SOLO EXHIBITION OPENS

Next Thursday, February 3, from 6:00–8:00 p.m., join BOPA for a free opening reception to celebrate Ernest Shaw Jr.'s solo show, "Continuous Line," at the Top of the World Observation Level. This breathtaking space is a landmark that BOPA manages, and we are thrilled to reactivate the "Gallery in the Sky" for such an extraordinary exhibition, which runs through Sunday, April 17, 2022. THREE SOLO SHOWS OPEN AT BROMO
Emerge Baltimore Exhibition Series Begins
BOPA presents three solo shows that open simultaneously at the Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower on Thursday, February 10, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. as part of BOPA’s Emerge Baltimore exhibition series. This trio of artists represents the zealous expression and cutting-edge vision that will thrust Baltimore City creative culture into the future. THE MAGIC OF THE MOVIES
The SNF Parkway Brings Sundance to Baltimore
The SNF Parkway Theatre — home of the Maryland Film Festival, where the winners of the Baltimore Screenwriters Competition will be announced — is pleased to announce its return as a Satellite Screen partner for the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. The Parkway is one of only seven independently owned arthouse cinemas across the United States that will connect the Festival and its artists directly with local audiences, showing a specially-curated selection from Sundance’s official program during the Festival’s closing weekend, January 28–30, 2022. Celebrate the Lunar New Year With the Walters

For the 2022 Janet & Walter Sondheim Art Prize, BOPA has once again partnered with the Walters Art Museum. Approximately three finalists will be selected for the final review for the prizes and their work will be exhibited in the Walters Art Museum in June and July, 2022.

REMEMBERING BELL HOOKS
A Free, Virtual Event Hosted by Notre Dame
Join the Women's Leadership Institute of Baltimore (WLIB) at Notre Dame of Maryland University on Tuesday, February 1, from 6:00–7:00 p.m for a virtual celebration and remembrance of author, educator, and activist bell hooks. LONGTIME PROFESSOR AND PORTRAITIST PASSES AWAY
