Tour This Historic Maryland Landmark
The annual Open House Plus series at The Cloisters kicks off on January 15, from 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Newly engaged couples and their families are invited to tour the castle and meet with an array of local vendors who can assist with planning needs. Enjoy an Evening of Classic Songs

Artist Elaine Fisher opens her solo show "Repartea" this weekend at Project 1628 in the Bolton Hill neighborhood. There is an opening reception on Sunday, January 16, from 2:00–5:00 p.m. Masks and vaccination required. Annual Winter Bead & Jewelry Show
This Saturday & Sunday, January 15–16, from 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., the Baltimore bead Society is hosting its annual bead & jewelry show at the Howard County Fairgrounds. VIRTUAL PRE-CONCERT TALK
Tradition and Innovation in Russian Music
In advance of the January 22 all-Russian program presented by cellist Steven Isserlis and pianist Connie Shih, the Candlelight Concert Society will explore the cultural and political contexts that shaped the development of Russian musical style in the past two centuries. Part 2 of the presentation on Tuesday, January 18, at 7:30 p.m. will move into the 20th century, with a focus on music of Rachmaninov, Shostakovich, and the post-war composers, including Schnittke, Gubaidulina, and Ustvolskaya. Exhibit on View at the Jewish Museum of Maryland
From now through Friday, February 11, the Jewish Museum of Maryland is showing a new exhibit called A Fence Around the Torah: Safety and Unsafety in Jewish Life. From the Museum: "Works include personal reflections on queer life and Judaism, racial justice in Jewish spaces, cultural loss and reclamation, political dialogues and dissent, mythological narratives around unsafety and dreams for inclusion and solidarity coming from within Jewish institutions and the organized Jewish community."
