Things to See & Do in Baltimore
Pyrotecnico brings another incredible fireworks show to Baltimore's Inner Harbor on Sunday, September 5, 2021. The fireworks show launches at 8:30 p.m., but come out early and dance to a local DJ set while the sun sets. Sponsored by the City of Baltimore and the Waterfront Partnership, this BOPA-produced event is the perfect way to fall back safely into autumn.

Discover Art & Artists in Station North
Mark your calendars for the Station North Shines Art Walk on Friday, August 27 from 5:008:00 p.m.! This month, the Ynot Lot is hosting a special free community arts workshop and visibility walk by visionary, artist, and community cultivator, April Danielle Lewis, in partnership with Signal Station North, a lighting and public space engagement initiative.It will be followed by a lively celebration with the Dynasty Marching Unit with Eze Jackson and the Soul Cannon Band performing at 9:00 p.m. Follow @stationnorth for updates.

Rayn Fall Dance Studio is one of the three core programs offered by Muse 360 Arts. CELEBRATE WOMEN'S EQUALITY
Honoring the Suffrage Centennial
Come celebrate the Suffrage Centennial and Women's Equality Day this Saturday, August 28, from 5:00–8:00 p.m. at Druid Hill Park. Though all women could not vote until the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the ratification of the 19th Amendment on August 18, 1920 is a historic moment deserving of commemoration. ALBUM RELEASE PARTY

On Saturday, August 28, at 8:00 p.m., singer-songwriter Ari Pluznik and his fellow musicians celebrate the release of their debut album. BLACK FEMME SUPREMACY FILM FEST
An Exceptional Year
Since 2018, the Black Femme Supremacy Film Fest has centered Black femme stories and celebrated Black queer, gender non-conforming, and trans community of filmmakers of all ethnicities and nationalities. The 2021 festival will run from September 5–11. Tickets and details are available below.
VEGAN RESTAURANT WEEK
The Feast Ends This Sunday
Good food is art — and the Baltimore-based chefs participating in Maryland Vegan Restaurant Week are some of the most skilled culinary artisans who have ever roasted a vegetable. Free Concert Debuting New Works
The Baltimore Composers Forum is hosting a micro-brewed virtual mini concert series titles "Four Colors, Four Elements." This selection of short works will debut on Saturday, September 4, at 8:15 p.m. It's free to attend, and you can participate in a live discussion during the premiere.
THE SECRET LIFE OF EARTH
Current Mega-Exhibit at AVAM Closes Soon
Now through September 5 at the American Visionary Arts Museum, experience an exhibit that is described as "one part visual Earth love feast and two parts environmental crash course on the wonders and fragility of life on our one blue homegirl planet." HEALING TRAUMA THROUGH ART
Holistic Dance Therapy Program
This fall, Ballet After Dark is offering free holistic dance therapy classes starting Wednesday, September 8. This incredible organization prioritizes the healing of Black and Brown survivors and is the only trauma-informed, holistic dance therapy program designed to help survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence reclaim their bodies. MUSEUM WORKERS DEMAND UNION RECOGNITION

Get Your Application in Now
Each year BOPA provides Baltimore City-based organizations and local venues/event spaces with operating budgets under $300,000 grants that range from $250–1,000 to produce free cultural events in Baltimore City during the month of October.

We also provide an opportunity for organizations with operating budgets over $300,000 to participate in Free Fall Baltimore by promoting their events and incorporating them into the Free Fall calendar.

Individual artists/creatives are allowed to apply for this grant if their event is also free and open to the public and located in a public space or Baltimore-based venue. Click on the button below to apply now.
Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar

The Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar is back on Sundays from 7am to 12pm! 

The Baltimore Farmers’ Market & Bazaar has welcomed back beloved elements like hot food vendors and the Bazaar’s artisans in a limited capacity, after offering a food-only market throughout the 2020 season. The Baltimore Farmers’ Market & Bazaar continues maintaining public health regulations to provide a safe experience for all.  

The 44th season is scheduled to run weekly, 7:00 a.m.12:00 p.m. on Sundays through December 19, 2021, with continuous adaptation to maintain health and safety.
