A rehearsed reading of a new play by JACK GILHOOLEY

An 80-90 minute play based on an imagined situation. Nora Barnacle Joyce never returned to her native Ireland after the country refused to accept her husband, James Joyce's body for burial in 1941. But if she had...The play is set in 1946 when Nora delivers a lecture to The Irish Women's Literary Society. Given the scandalous reputation of the Joyce's, the decision to honor her would have been a controversial one in this very religious nation. But the literary society is composed of intelligent and open-minded devotees of the arts... to a degree, that is.

1-4 p.m. Art Center Sarasota. Admission: $10 at the door

 

Ms. Dalton is a lawyer who specializes in the creative arts, This interactive workshop will review copyright protections, fair use, do's and don'ts in collaborating with other artists and writers, how to prevent becoming a victim of fine print and cope with internet theft. Dalton served as senior attorney for Radio City Music Hall and ABC Network and currently represents a wide variety of artists, performers and organizations.
