Art Conversations - NEW CLASS!
Rather than watch another Netflix show, why not learn something new. Join Art Conversations in a four-week art history series taught online by Art History Professor, and St. Bartholomew's parishioner, Rachel Blankenship. Each week's content will center around a theme which we will unearth by way of art history. A week at a time, we will pay special attention to one artist and their artwork, an assigned reading and a reading prompt, as well as a brief video lecture. Engage with other parishioners to see how art and art history bring creativity, spirituality and community up off the screen and into our daily lives. No experience needed! Come as you are.  Weekly lesson posted on St. Bartholomew's website every Monday! Drop by and learn something new!
Easter Flower & Music Dedications
Making a donation for flower or music is a wonderful way to honor a loved one or give thanks for the blessing received. Your thanksgivings and remembrances will be listed in the Easter news insert and on St. Bartholomew's Facebook page. If you'd like to contribute to the beauty of our Easter services, donate online or on the app by Monday, April 6.
Maundy Thursday Foot Washing at St. Mark's
St. Bart's partners with St. Mark's City Heights and the Episcopal Church Center to celebrate Holy Week by serving our neighbors. Every year we provide new shoes and socks, serve hot meals, and provide health and well-being services to the homeless community at St. Mark’s. While the Maundy Thursday event that we're used to is postponed, we need to be prepared when we can support this community. Please donate online (choose Outreach then St. Mark's from the drop down list) to purchase shoes ($25 per pair). If you have any questions, please contact Maya or Kate McKone-Sweet, 781-856-8044

Wednesdays, Video Recorded
This class will be video recorded each week and posted on St. Bartholomew's YouTube channel.
Revelation (known as the Apocalypse or insight) is one of the most engaging and disputed books of the Bible. It has inspired great works of art and music, and it has fed social upheaval and speculation about the coming end of the world. This course will ask what Revelation is, why it has played such a volatile role in Western culture, and how it continues to be meaningful to contemporary readers. All are welcome! See the full description for the topic schedule .
Sunday School in a Box!
Our Children’s Ministry Directors are working on a special delivery for all our students. In about a week, packages will be sent to all registered Sunday school students. This fun activity box will include all the materials you need to complete four lessons including a simple instruction sheet and tips for parents. The lessons explore Holy Week and Easter with an engaging, child-friendly approach. It will be a fun opportunity for our students to continue to build their faith and learn about the wonder of Easter during these unusual circumstances.  If your child is not registered for Sunday school, but you would like to receive a box, please email Maureen and Karen at  children@stbartschurch.org. Be sure to include your name, your child’s name and grade, and your mailing address.
Virtual Thursday Sunday School Gathering
Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to check in with your Sunday school friends and families during this pause in classes? Well, our Children’s Ministry Directors think so! They will be hosting a Zoom meeting for Sunday school families every Thursday at 10 a.m beginning next week.  Details on how to join in will be sent out soon or contact Maureen and Karen at  children@stbartschurch.org .

Service Opportunities
While we're all being asked to stay home to flatten the curve, there are still many ways you can be of service to others.
  • Ask a neighbor if they need anything when you go to the grocery store.
  • Check in on friends and neighbors 65+ who should not be venturing out.
  • Foster a dog. You're home anyway and dogs are great companions and have the ability to lower stress. Help out a local rescue while you have the time. Contact Second Chance Dog Rescue, It's the Pits, Labradors & Friends or search dog rescues San Diego.
  • Give blood. There is a huge need for blood right now. St. Bartholomew's hosted the American Red Cross this week and they'll be back later in April, but you can contact them now and make an appointment nearby.
  • Volunteer to deliver meals to seniors 60+ with Meals on Wheels.
  • Share your talent with St. Bartholomew's parishioners. If you have a special talent or passion and can turn that into a class, preferably utilizing Zoom let us know!
