DSOTA FINE ARTS CAMP TAKES YOUNG ARTISTS ON
A JOURNEY THROUGH ART HISTORY!

This July our DSOTA Fine Arts Camp students had a fantastic journey through art history by exploring the influences and innovation that led to the world of fine arts that we enjoy today. Learning from the different techniques & styles developed throughout history, DSOTA's student artists created their own masterpieces by finding inspiration in many pieces ranging from 40,000 year old cave paintings, Greek pottery, Egyptian hieroglyphics, and Early Christian Art to the great artistic masterpieces of the master artists of the Renaissance Era, Impressionism Movement, Modern Art, and Photography!

Destin School of the Arts Invites
Exceptional Students To
B.E. Inspired!
A DSOTA ARTS ENRICHMENT CLASS CUSTOMIZED FOR SOME TRULY EXCEPTIONAL STUDENTS
In the spring of this year, DSOTA Director Keri Klaus had the opportunity to meet with the director of an incredible organization called Beyond Expectations. Beyond Expectations is an ABA therapy, speech and counseling service serving all of Okaloosa, Walton, Santa Rosa, and Escambia counties that provides in-home, on-site, school, and clinical therapy. Upon learning that the Beyond Expectations was not able to offer arts enrichment as a part of their education curriculum, the DSOTA Production Team stepped up to ensure that their students would have access to the arts each week.

After a very successful test run with a very talented group of thirteen-fifteen students from Beyond Expectations' summer camp program throughout the month of July, Destin School of the Arts is thrilled to announce an on-going partnership with Beyond Expectations beginning with the 2019-2020 school year and the official addition of a new DSOTA arts enrichment class called "B.E. Inspired" beginning in September. This arts enrichment curriculum has been carefully designed by the DSOTA Production Team, with the expert guidance and advice of the wonderful administrators and educators at Beyond Expectations, to give these exceptional student artists the opportunity to be enriched and inspired through the arts each week at Destin School of the Arts.

Destin School of the Arts can't wait to work with approximately 30 of these amazing new students that will be bused to DSOTA each week beginning in September. Our Production Team, along with the dedicated therapists and educators from Beyond Expectations, is ready to welcome these students to a creative space filled with individuals who are working to educate, encourage, and advocate for a one-of-a-kind opportunity to incorporate the arts into the lives of our students in a way that both educates and INSPIRES!

WE ARE READY TO B.E. INSPIRED!

Note:
This weekly program will be provided at no cost to Beyond Expectations, or the families of these students, thanks to the generous support of our DSOTA Arts Patrons and through contributions made to the Destin School of the Arts Play It Forward Program.
