Greetings!

This month, I'll be traveling to NYC to take a Solarplate workshop with the internationally recognized painter and printmaker, Julio Valdez, for which I'm very excited. As you may know, I'm always looking for ways to expand my creative possibilities and this new technique will help me add another layer to my artworks.

You may be asking yourselves what is Solarplate? It is a revolutionary and versatile method of printmaking created by master printmaker, Dan Welden in 1972, to create an etching or photo-etching plate using solar energy, developing the image with water.

On the other hand, I'm currently raising funds to be able to take Michelle Belto's workshop: From Pulp to Painting: Explorations in Paper and Wax, at the Encaustic Center in Dallas, Texas. If you would like to learn more about my cause, and the benefits to the sponsors, and/or to make a donation, please click HERE. Thank you in advance for your interest.

On a different note, one of my works made using Encaustic will be featured, in a few weeks, at the 5th Encaustic International Conference's home page.

After all the snow we have had this winter, I'm so excited spring is just around the corner! Here's an image of my sculpture inspired by a family of Robins one spring.

Please, save the dates of the exhibitions I list here, I'll be happy to see you there,
