Featured Artist Member of the Month

Kirk Wolfe

Kirk’s love of colors and textures are evident in many of his art projects. Multiple layers of paint are applied to create the three-dimensional effect he desires. Kirk began his love of painting after receiving encouragement from his grandfather, who was an accomplished artist in his own right. Kirk began by painting landscapes and seascapes showing his affinity to sunsets. Kirk eventually found a home in abstracts. He cherishes the opportunity to be more “physical” with his art and was able to escape into the projects. Kirk managed to graduate from Tulare Union high school, obtain a degree from College of Sequoias in Visalia and earn a B.S. degree from Fresno State, all without taking a single art application class. Obviously, the time spent with his grandfather stayed with him and he has nurtured that love ever since. Kirk enjoys the friendships and professional interaction with the other Fine Arts Center members.
