Hello neighbors,
US District Judge Lucy Koh issued an injunction suspending September 30, 2020 deadline for completing the US Census. The new deadline is Saturday, October 31.
On October 2, 2020, the message below was sent to census takers working on the 2020 Census informing them that “As a result of court orders, the October 5, 2020 target date is not operative, and data collection operations will continue through October 31, 2020. Employees should continue to work diligently and enumerate as many people as possible. Contact your supervisor with any questions.”
The City of Miramar currently has a 72% response rate and we are committed to reaching 100% with everyone's participation.
The Census Bureau strongly encourages the public to respond online at 2020census.gov. Households can respond either online or by phone in English or 12 other languages.
Make yourself count Miramar!
