Returning from the west coast to his home state of Wyoming, Cory McDaniel performed for years with The Tremors, Wyoming's only two piece trio. Now, along with bassist Amy Gieske and percussionist Jimmy Harper, Cory is songwriter, singer and guitarist in Wyoming's only three piece duo, The Cory McDaniel Duo. Cory draws musical and literary inspriation from sources as diverse as Wyoming cowboys, Seattle songwriters, and modern politics. Over the years he's released nine CDs, toured Italy, Germany and the western US, and written the music for the upcoming documentary Dell Burke and the Yellow Hotel. Coming to Wyoming from Chevy Chase, Maryland, Amy Gieske has made Wyoming her home for more than thirty five years. During that time she's recorded and played across the country with Warner/Rhino recording artist Jeff Finlin, as well as holding down the bass position in many local bands.
Percussionist Jimmy Harper has played hand drums and harmonica with several local bands. He doesn't like to talk much about himself, but did share that he was born in a Mack truck on the Alcan highway, was raised in Mills, Wyoming, and has never been in jail.
