Fall is here and things are happening at Metro Interiors! Below you'll find details on an event I'm very excited to present, with several of our
Virtual Art Gallery artists.
Saturday, November 11, we're presenting a 1-day only Art Exhibition & Sale.
All are invited - join us Uptown!
Artwork, as I always say, is the soul of a space.
The spaces we live and work in hold the potential to be both grounding and inspirational. Finding artwork that says something about who you are, makes a statement about what you want out of life, or simply makes you happy is so important. No matter what your budget, you've got to have art.
Also below, read the story about the art gallery we created at Nokomis Square, a Senior Living Community here in Minneapolis. We were definitely on the same page with the Design Enhancements Committee on the importance of art. We helped them design a lovely and meaningful experience within their space.
Knowing how much your space matters is one thing. Designing that space isn't always easy.

What a fun project this was! We were hired by the Nokomis Square Design Enhancements Committee to create an art gallery on their main level residential hallways. It turned out to be a great fit. As Interior Designers and Art Consultants, we shared input and insight as we collaborated with the committee on artwork selection and placement of 17 groupings of art. We also oversaw the installation, made sure the artwork was security mounted, and added professional tags with artist, name and medium.
The pieces are a combination of some originals, and budget-conscious prints, limited-edition prints, and giclée's. In addition, there are some oils done by studio artists - also an economical choice, but still hand-painted so no two are exactly alike. A few art pieces of theirs were also worked into the mix.
A lot of intention was put behind choosing the pieces and deciding where to place them, based on color, theme, and look. The result is an experience for the residents, one that enhances vibrancy, conjures nostalgia, and offers grounding in a sense of place. Read on and see more photos
