Kicking off May, we’re spotlighting Asian American & Pacific Islander media makers such as Shengyue Chen, a WRIF Emerging Filmmaker and a senior at Middlebury College. His film Bear (screened during the 2026 White River Indie Festival) follows a long-distance college couple and their nervousness about bears along a dark highway.
