Artifact Day & Connected in Culture Potluck

Artifact Day + Connected in Culture Potluck and Cookbook | Friday, Feb 27

We’re looking forward to Artifact day on Friday, February 27th. We are still hoping for parent volunteers between 8:00 and 11:00 AM and elder volunteers to support our students as they share about their identity. We hope you'll sign-up using the links attached.

Join us for a Connected in Culture Potluck dinner in the lunchroom on Friday, February 27th, from 6–7:30 p.m. as we celebrate our diverse school community through food and connection. Families are invited to bring a dish that is special to their culture and/or family. Please label dishes with the dish name, family name, and any allergens (dairy, peanuts, or gluten). To support our sustainability efforts, please bring your own plate and utensils.

We will create a Connected in Culture: Thornton Creek Community Cookbook to celebrate and share our community’s favorite recipes. If you would like to include your dish in the cookbook, please use the link below to submit your recipe by Friday, February 27th. Cookbooks will be created and available for purchase following the event, with proceeds supporting Thornton Creek Elementary. Submit Your Recipe today!

Dragonfly Bazaar & W.O.W Art Night Volunteer Opportunities

Dragonfly Bazaar Volunteer Team: April 9th

The Dragonfly Bazaar is one of Thornton Creek’s favorite events! 3rd, 4th & 5th grade students create their own crafts and then sell them to classmates, learning creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship along the way. It’s always a joyful, high-energy day for our school community.

To help make this event a success, we’re looking for volunteers to join the event planning team to assist with cutting Dragonfly Dollars, creating layouts, organizing vendor sign-ups, and collecting donations for the Dragonfly Bazaar store. Interested? Join our team

W.O.W Art Night: April 30th

Do you love creativity and community events? We’re seeking volunteers to help plan and support W.O.W Art Night! This evening event showcases student artwork and also serves as TCPG’s spring fundraiser. Both day-of support and planning engagement are needed! The planning team will work with the art teachers to create a vision for the evening and bring it to life. Whether you enjoy working as a team, reaching out to local businesses, gathering donations for the silent auction and raffle, assembling baskets and displays, or helping out during the event your support will play a big role in making this event a success. No experience required! Just enthusiasm and a willingness to help. Join us in creating a fun and memorable evening for our school community!
