Playhouse stages riotous A Tuna Christmas

A Tuna Christmas is taking the stage at The Washington County Playhouse Dinner Theater and Children's Theater  November 18 through December 17.

In this hilarious sequel to Greater Tuna, it's Christmas in the third smallest town in Texas. Radio station news personalities Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie report on various Yuletide activities, including hot competition in the annual lawn display contest. In other news, voracious Joe Bob Lipsey's production of "A Christmas Carol" is jeopardized by unpaid electric bills. Many colorful Tuna denizens, some you will recognize from Greater Tuna and some appearing here for the first time, join in the holiday fun.

Steve Steele and Shawn Nakia star with Scott Ruble directing. Performances are held on Fridays and Saturdays at 6:15 pm, with select performances on Sundays and Thursdays. Tickets, which include a buffet dinner, are $42, $22 (children 5 -12). No children under age 5 admitted. Special discount applies for groups of 20 or more.

Purchase tickets online at www.washingtoncountyplayhouse.com or call 301-739-7469. The Playhouse is located at 44 North Potomac Street, REAR, in the heart of Hagerstown's Arts and Entertainment District.
