Middletown Valley Bank  presents the Krumpe's Donut Drop to kick off the 2019 New Year in the square of Downtown Hagerstown, complete with fireworks and live music!

Join HighRock outside on the square in downtown Hagerstown for free  AC&T  coffee & hot chocolate, free soup from  Burkett's Deli  and of course, free  Krumpe's Do-Nut Shop Inc.  donuts to the first 5,000 people!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
5:00pm - Kid's Zone with games, crafts, coloring, balloons and other fun kid's activities, sponsored by  Mid-Atlantic Sprint . Look for the big, yellow Sprint flags.
5:30pm - Live performances begin by  Staff Infection  on the square.

6:00pm - Family Festivities: live music, kids activities and fun demonstrations from local businesses, free  AC&T  coffee & hot chocolate, popcorn, soup and Krumpe's Do-nuts to the first 5,000 people.

6:59pm - Happy New Year's! The Krumpe's Donut Drop begins!
7:00pm - Fireworks and live music from Staff Infection.

We hope you'll make the Donut Drop the first stop for your New Year's Eve plans. Be sure to stop by downtown restaurants and shops that will be having specials in honor of the big event!

Everyone's favorite family of superheroes is back in "Incredibles 2" - but this time Helen is in the spotlight, leaving Bob at home with Violet and Dash to navigate the day-to-day heroics of "normal" life. It's a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack's emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone must find a way to work together again-which is easier said than done, even when they're all Incredible.

January 2019 Exhibit

The Washington County Arts Council, Inc. hosts Mick Williams’ “Suitcase Filled with Light: A Colorful Watercolor Journey” for the month of January 2019. The exhibit opens with a reception to meet the artists on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 5pm-7pm and will continue through January 29, 2019. Mr. Williams will again be at the gallery for an Artist Talk on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 2pm to 4pm providing another opportunity to speak with the artist and learn about his process, his techniques, and the meaning behind his work .

Calling all Washington County Art Educators!
The Washington County Arts Council invites all art educators in Washington County’s public and private schools to enter work for the February 2019 exhibit. This is an invitational exhibition and all work will be accepted. Each educator can submit three works that have been completed within the last two years. Artwork may be dropped off Friday, January 25, 2019 from 11am to 5pm, Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 10am to 4pm, or Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 11am to 5pm.

The Exhibit will run from January 31, 2019 through February 26, 2019. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2018 from 5pm to 7pm.

Applications accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning February 1, 2019, for the FY 2019 cycle, and on April 1, 2019, for the
FY 2020 cycle .
The purpose of the program is to strengthen the vitality and sustainability of artists and small organizations to maintain a strong and stable arts infrastructure in the State of Maryland. The Creativity Grant also provides opportunities to serve the growing needs of relevant arts projects and collaborations within Maryland communities. For more information, go to Creativity Grants .

Maryland Arts Day is the largest annual gathering of arts professionals in Maryland. Based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas, this swashbuckling adventure will take audiences on a journey to France where Athos, Porthos, Aramis and newcomer D'artagnan fight for France. The novel has been recreated in various forms since its publication largely because of its examination of strong themes including: friendship, loyalty, courage, and triumph over evil.
