The Maryland Theatre hosts America
Friday, June 14, 2019 • 8:00 pm

America's journey has found them exploring a wide variety of musical terrain. Their best-known tunes, which also include "I Need You," "Ventura Highway," "Don't Cross The River," "Tin Man," "Lonely People," and "Sister Golden Hair" were cornerstones of 1970's Top 40 and FM rock radio. Yet beyond their impressive catalog of hits, listeners would discover there was always much more to America than surface perceptions. The combination of Gerry Beckley's melodic pop rock and Dewey Bunnell's use of folk-jazz elements, slinky Latin-leaning rhythms and impressionistic lyric imagery contrasted well with Dan Peek's more traditional country-rock leanings and highly personal lyrics.

Sunday, October 27, 2019 • 3:00pm

Jay and The Americans first record was "Tonight" (from the Broadway Musical West Side Story), and their breakout hit song was "She Cried". Jay and The Americans next chart hit was "Only In America", followed by top ten hits "Come A Little Bit Closer" and later "This Magic Moment".

Jay and The Americans were a major force in starting the Rock and Roll revival with their album "Wax Museum", where they paid tribute to many great Rock and Roll artists with their versions of such great songs as "Hushabye", "Walkin' In The Rain", and a song that reached the top ten "This Magic Moment". One Woman Sex and the City:
A Parody on Love, Friendship and Shoes
Show Date - Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 2:00pm

Join actress and comedian Kerry Ipema as she portrays all 4 of our favorite women Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda in this 90 minute love-letter and hilarious tribute through six seasons of this mad-cap series. Kerry portrays Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda as they eat brunch, banter, argue and swoon over men and Manolos.

Ipema and co-creator and director T.J Dawe (One Man Star-Wars/One Man Lord of the Rings) bring all of our favorite moments to life. The naked dress, the "post-it note" and the "tantric sex demonstration" all weave their way into this fantastic send-up. Who can forget how the Cosmopolitan drink swept into our lives? Mr. Big may even make an appearance.

One Woman Sex and the City: A Parody on Love, Friendship and Shoes reminds us all of the power of friendship and why this show so firmly remains in our hearts and minds. We "can't help but wonder" what waits in store for YOU at this perfect girls-night out.

Zoso: The Ultimate
Led Zeppelin Experience
Saturday, November 23, 2019 • 7:30pm

Zoso -The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience formed in 1995 to perform the most accurate and captivating Led Zeppelin live show since the real thing. For Zoso, it's much more than just being a tribute. It's about touching a golden era in music. Zoso embodies Page, Plant, Bonham and Jones in their spirit, tightly wound talent and authenticity. Each band member has been carefully selected to portray both the appearance and playing styles of their Led Zeppelin counterparts. In eighteen successful years of touring, they have perfected their art. As one of the longest tenured Zeppelin tributes, Zoso's 2400 live shows around the world, including a slot at Bonnaroo in 2003, have established them as the most traveled and successful band in the market.

Zoso's live shows are not about simply playing the right notes, they are about aura and feeling, harkening back to the unique atmosphere Led Zeppelin created. It’s in the way they play: Each band member's mastery of authentic vintage instruments coupled with spot on vocals, guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards, their compelling stage persona and distinct Led Zeppelin sound, with astounding visual imagery recreates the music, magic, and mystery of a Zeppelin concert. The impact is so powerful that band members constantly hear from young rockers that they were the catalyst behind turning them into new, die-hard Zeppelin fans.

Boys & Girls Club of Washington County presents Tim Hawkins
Sunday, November 24, 2019 • 3:00pm & 7:00pm

Tim Hawkins presented by the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County
Since giving up his job as a grocery truck driver in 2002, Tim Hawkins has been establishing himself as one of the most in-demand comedians in the country. With 300,000,000 video views online and over 100 sold-out concerts every year, his Jackwagon Crew has grown into a revolution of multi-generational proportions. But don’t take it from us...

Tim's gut-busting comedy show entertains the entire family while doubling down on the funny, a daunting task in an age where the obscene has become routine. His act is 1 part gifted + 2 parts twisted, the only certainty being his on-the-nose observations that expose the ridiculousness of daily life while marveling in its hilarity. The perils of marriage, homeschooling, and growing up in the Midwest may not exemplify the rock star life, but they make for really good punchlines.

Sure he's funny, but fans are often even more amazed at his singing voice and guitar chops. Tim's hilarious music videos have brought him viral YouTube fame with fan favorites including The Chick-fil-A Song, Yoga Pants, Aging Rockers, Things You Don’t Say to Your Wife, Cletus Take the Reel, A Homeschool Family, and The Government Can. Still, Tim is no rock star: "It's not like I have a choice. Comedy is my only life skill."

Tim reminds us that for life's many difficulties, laughter is always the best medicine – when the medication runs out. He just released his 9th comedy DVD, "Just About Enough". Tim lives in Missouri with his wife and four crud muffins.
