November 2017 Exhibit

"Dual Personalities: The Collective Works of Renner and Shoaf" opens on Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Washington County Arts Council with an opening reception to meet the artists from 5PM until 7PM.
The exhibit will continue through November 28, 2017.

Call for Artists 
Annual Community Art Show: The Best Local Art of 2017

The Washington County Arts Council, Inc. invites local artists working in any medium to submit their best new works for WCAC's "Annual Community Art Show: The Best Local Art of 2017." The juried community art exhibit will run from December 1, 2017 through January 2, 2018 with an opening reception on Friday, December 1st from 5pm to 7pm.

The jurors are:
  • Bruce Wilder, photographer and owner of his own photographic studio and Turn The Page Bookstore in Boonsboro, Maryland.
  • Philip Lindsey, Professor of Fine Arts at Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA whose own art consists of figure and representational painting and drawing.
Open Mic Nites
for high school and college students
November 14, 2017
Sponsored by The Washington County Arts Council and 28 South
6pm and 8pm at 28 South at 28 S. Potomac St.
Join students in the Washington County school system and Hagerstown Community College at Open Mic Nites. The second Tuesday of each month will be reserved for original music and spoken word.

Main Street Hagerstown is hosting a Christkindle Markt in downtown Hagerstown on December 2nd from 12 to 6 p.m. They need volunteers to help with set-up, staffing the Main Street table throughout the event, and staffing the kids' area. If you have 2 or more hours to volunteer that day, please sign up at the link below. Help is needed between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
