Bridge of Life is Hosting 

The Doleman Black Heritage Museum 
In celebrating Black History
Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 3-5 PM in the church's sanctuary.


Located in the heart of Hagerstown, Maryland, the Doleman Black Heritage Museum (DBHM) is a non-profit organization focusing on preserving and displaying the legacy of Charles and Marguerite Doleman.  Their vision is for a state-of-the-art cultural and historical museum depicting the lives of African-Americans especially those in Washington County and Hagerstown.


The Doleman Black Heritage Museum encourages historical, biographical, genealogical, and archaeological research and inquiry.  While publishing and disseminating information, the museum also collects and preserves archival materials and artifacts that document the African-American experience. This museum is unique in in that it is a museum of local culture with artifacts.

SHAPE Gallery invites you to submit works for: FLOW: Art Inspired by Water scheduled for April 4-24, 2015. For this unique exhibition, SHAPE is collaborating with the Middle Spring Watershed Association and expanding this call into a regional exhibition. Additional events are planned during the month of the exhibition including speakers and an Artist's Rain Barrel Auction to raise money for the Watershed association.

Hagerstown Community Concert presents

Mainstreet Brass

at the Maryland Theatre

Mainstreet Brass has proven itself on the concert stage as a dedicated ambassador to brass music, original or transcribed. Their experience in the field of concert performance and music education make this a very flexible form of chamber music, versatile in repertoire from Bach to Bernstein.

Teen Idol 2015 

at The Maryland Theatre

Saturday, March 21, 2015 * 7:00pm


The Washington County Free Library & The Maryland Theatre along with After Five Productions Present Teen Idol 2015.

Twenty teens, ages 15-19, will perform for a grand prize of $1000 and second prize of $500. Come out and cheer for your favorite Teen Idol and support Teen Programs @ the Washington County Free Library. Guest Master of Ceremonies, Pieter Bickford (What's NXT) and special performances by Teen Idol 2014 winners, EJ and Jake Boutieller, and the Barbara Ingram School For The Arts Dance Troupe.
Congratulations to Paige Hilton of Boonsboro High School (Washington County) who placed third at the 2015 Maryland Poetry Out Loud (POL) state final competition on Saturday, March 7 at the Baltimore Museum of Art.  According to the Maryland State Arts Council, "More than 16,000 Maryland students in 16 counties and 51 schools participated in POL this year. A panel of judges scored students' performances in categories such as level of difficulty, dramatic appropriateness, voice and articulation and overall performance."
