Home Free: Don't It Feel Good Tour
Tuesday, September 29, 2015 * 7:30pm

When country vocal band Home Free was crowned champion of NBC's The Sing-Off, their victory was by no means the beginnings of a career for the five country stars from Minnesota... rather it was a satisfying culmination of nearly a decade of hard work and commitment to a vocal craft growing in popularity. They have become known for their high-energy performances, peppered with quick-witted humor that meshes Nashville standards with pop hits dipped in country flavor. Since their Sing-Off win, Home Free has released two albums (Crazy Life and Full Of Cheer), selling more than 150,000 copies; they've embarked on two major national tours, selling more than 100,000 tickets in North America; they've released more than 20 music videos, amassing more than 35-million YouTube views. They continue to build a national audience as they bring their Don't It Feel Good Tour to town in support of their third major release on Columbia Records out in Fall 2015.

Two Rivers Chamber Orchestra Concert
Trinity Episcopal Church, W. German Street, Shepherdstown, WV
11/07/2015--Start Time: 7:30pm--End Time: 9:00pm

Shepherdstown WV's Friends of Music organization will launch its 2015-2016 performance season with a concert by the Two Rivers Chamber Orchestra on Saturday, November 7. The concert will be held at Shepherdstown's Trinity Episcopal Church at 7:30 p.m. The Orchestra's Music Director, Jed Gaylin, will conduct. This will be the first time the Orchestra has performed at the Church. Dr. Gaylin says a main reason for choosing the Church was its superb acoustics. Three works will be featured: * "Last Round," a piece for double string quartet and bass by Argentine composer Osvaldo Golijov, one of the most sought after modern composers; * Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E Minor, Op. 64, with violinist Jorge Àvila; * Beethoven's Symphony No.1 in C Major, Op. 21. Admission will be free for Friends of Music members. The ticket price for others will be $25 per person.
