She takes her inspiration from traditional textile patterns and techniques, combining them with modern materials and manufacturing methods to achieve an updated, fashionable look. Shahak notes that while certain textiles are more expensive than gold, we think of them as something that any child can easily tear apart. In contrast, her interest lies in the perception of textile as a timeless jewel.
