New Iberia, La. ---
The Shadows-on-the-Teche has made the difficult decision to cancel the Arts & Crafts Show in October due to the coronavirus and concerns for the health of their volunteers, staff, vendors, and community.
For many years, the Shadows Arts & Crafts shows have created a space for vendors to sell their handmade wares to interested buyers, and the fall show is typically a time to step out and enjoy cooler weather while beginning holiday shopping. This decision was not taken lightly as proceeds from the show provide funds for not only the ongoing maintenance of The Shadows and gardens, but also for education programming, a cornerstone of the site’s mission.
"The Shadows would like to thank the community for understanding the difficulty of this decision," said Jayd Buteaux, marketing and programs manager. "We look forward to returning with our annual Spring show in March 2021."
