Artists and creatives are the backbone of the Creative Economy, but they often struggle with how to plug in and advocate for the changes they want. This interactive workshop will provide artists and creatives with a greater understanding of the role(s) they play in developing and supporting vibrant arts economies and communities. Artists will be presented with tools and resources to advocate for their needs while strengthening their awareness of what their work provides to their communities.

Arts leaders understand the human and artistic impact of their work, but often struggle with how to present this information to key constituents and to legislators. This workshop will introduce arts leaders with communication strategies that use language and data to position their organizations as economic drivers in their community.
