OCTOBER 2021
More free, family fun!

This Friday $3 Shirt is back to help us kick off another ArtWalk with some great music (ArtDance??) at Emery Park. Beginning this Wednesday through November 10, art will be displayed in shop windows in the Center.

Tours happen this Friday at 6:30, with the band to follow at 7:00. Grab a scavenger hunt form, and have some more outdoor fun! All artwork is for sale, available directly from the artists.

Later this month, we are inviting our younger residents to test drive their costumes (or not) and join us for some Halloween fun. We will have staff on hand to make some fun 🕷🕸seasonal crafts.
Then we have a walk that will take us into the beautiful Munroe cemetery and to a lovely storyteller at one of the little gazebos there.

(Re) Discovery Day Returns!

Saturday, October 9

Join us this Saturday in Lexington Center along with many of your favorite local businesses for the 2021 town street fair. You will find friendly staff at our booth as well as 40 pounds of river rocks just waiting to be turned into kindness rocks!
Lend a hand!
Not sure how you might contribute? Send us an email to set up a time to chat.
"We love Munroe, but I don't have a lot of time!"

Add your name to our Pop-Up Volunteer List. There is no obligation, but we let you know directly when we have a project that needs some extra people power, or special expertise.
"I would enjoy helping to plan special projects."

All our public art initiatives, exhibits, events, and performances rely on volunteers to help plan logistics and craft the fun!
"I want to give back to the community."

We have an aspirational year coming up! The MCA Board of Directors is looking to fill seats on its Governance Committee, its Outreach Committee, as well as the full board.
Need Community Service Hours?

High school youth are invited to also fill out our Pop-Up Volunteer List to be made aware of upcoming opportunities for helping in the community and receiving hours for their graduation requirement.
Please continue to wear masks in public areas inside the arts center (such as hallways and public studios). This helps us to protect the unvaccinated youth and adults who take classes here.

When waiting for someone, please choose to wait outdoors when possible. We have new picnic tables and Adirondack chairs in the front lawn, and benches and picnic tables behind the building.
The arts make everything better.
