Northville Art House seeks entries for its juried collage art exhibition, "Shear Madness" being held Jan. 13 - Feb. 6, 2021. Cash awards of $650 for 1st-4th place and honorable mention. Artists 18 and over may submit a maximum of three original collage works of art composed by arranging and gluing or otherwise affixing pieces of paper, fabric, photographs or other mixed media to a surface. MetLife, the New York Jets and the New York Giants are pulling together to install a pair of two-story-high murals at MetLife Stadium, and they are calling on the public to design them! Inspired by the profound impact the workforce of plumbers, mechanics, warehouse workers, cooks, healthcare administrators, small business owners and more have had on our communities and on our daily lives, they want to install murals that will commemorate these men and women for years to come. Submitted designs will go before a jury and two will be chosen. A professional artist will take the winning vision and create a pair of two-story murals to be installed at MetLife Stadium. Praxis Gallery is inaugurating a triennial, small group exhibition, featuring narrative based collections of photographic art limited to six artists with four images each.
