NATIONAL ARTS IN EDUCATION WEEK
Tell your Arts Ed Story!

Use #BecauseofArtsEd & #ArtsEdNow
"We owe a debt of gratitude to Carol Channing not only for her years on the stage and screen entertaining us, but for using her passion as an artist and activist to ensure that our nation's young people have a robust arts education as intended by our federal laws."
- Robert L. Lynch
President and CEO of Americans for the Arts
Since 2010, House Resolution 275, as passed by Congress, designates the second Sunday in September as National Arts in Education Week. In this week, several fields of arts education joins together to tell the story of the impact of the arts in education.

Throughout this week, the field of arts education celebrate in their communities, advocate the value of the arts in education, and participate in sharing their story on social media with #BecauseOfArtsEd to bring national visibility to the issue of Arts Education.

The 2019 National Arts in Education Week is dedicated to the memory of Ms. Carol Channing. Her advocacy efforts led to the creation of the national celebration in 2010.
