The Artist Fellowship Program is now accepting applications.

The Artist Fellowship Program provides competitive grants to encourage the continuing development of Connecticut artists. These grants provide support for artists to pursue new work and achieve specific creative and career goals.

There are three types of grants available under this program:
  • - Artistic Excellence grants: $5,000
  • - Artist Fellowship grants: $3,000
  • - Emerging Recognition grants: $1,000 





Application deadline: on or before 11:59 pm, August 20, 2019
Funding Period: January 1, 2020 - December 30, 2020
The ARTE-accesible grant program is now accepting applications.

The ARTE-accesible grant program supports activities that enhance program offerings and provide greater participation and understanding in the arts by all persons with or without disabilities and to all individuals regardless of language. 

Grant requests, which may range from $500 to $3,000, can be used to support:
  • Program and service offerings to improve the experience for audiences of all abilities
  • Staff training and internal resource support to carry out accessible programs and services
  • Support employment of Connecticut artists who identify as an individual with a disability

Eligible applicants include:
  • Connecticut arts organizations with 501(c)(3) status
  • Municipal arts departments
  • College/University - affiliated arts venues

Application deadline: on or before 11:59 pm, September 18, 2019
Funding Period: January 1, 2020 - December 31, 2020

Artists and creatives are the backbone of the Creative Economy, but they often struggle with how to plug in and advocate for the changes they want. This interactive workshop will provide artists and creatives with a greater understanding of the role(s) they play in developing and supporting vibrant arts economies and communities. Artists will be presented with tools and resources to advocate for their needs while strengthening their awareness of what their work provides to their communities.

Arts leaders understand the human and artistic impact of their work, but often struggle with how to present this information to key constituents and to legislators.
