Imagine a world without art: no vibrant murals to brighten our streets, no engaging performances to inspire, and no creative classes for our youth. The Arts Federation serves 14 counties in Indiana, including Tippecanoe County, ensuring that individuals of all ages have opportunities to explore their creativity. With every ticket purchased for the TASTE, you are directly contributing to free art classes for both youth and adults, providing instruments and repairs for kids who might otherwise never have the chance to express themselves musically, and funding public art installations that can transform our neighborhoods.
Your support helps cultivate not just individual artists but whole communities, fostering a sense of belonging and inspiration. Imagine the joy of a child picking up an instrument for the first time or the beauty of a stunning mural bringing life to a public space. These experiences are made possible because of generous supporters like you.
By attending the TASTE of Tippecanoe, you’re not just enjoying a wonderful event; you’re actively making a difference in the lives of those around you. Join us in celebrating and supporting the arts! Get your tickets today and be a part of something truly impactful for our community.

Seausical, The Musical: Curtains Up Camp
June 30, 2025, 9:30 AM
Jeff High School
Get ready to bounce, sing, and soar through the most fantastical summer adventure with Civic Youth Theatre! This July, we're whisking young performers away to the Jungle of Nool, the Circus McGurkus, and even to tiny planet of Who - where a whole universe of incredible characters await!
Seussical Jr:
Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical JR., a fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony-winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.
Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!
Young performers will:
- Learn showstopping musical numbers filled with whimsy and wonder
- Master jazzy dance moves and creative choreography
- Develop acting skills through playful character exploration of larger-than-life characters
- Make new friends in our theatrical company learning theatre games, movement exercises and creating out of this world props and costumes
- Be part of an unforgettable full-scale production
Aftercare available until 5pm (limited spaces available, email Benji@lafayettecivic.org to reserve aftercare space)

Steve Earle is best known for his country music and rock 'n' roll-tinged "alt-country." He is one of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters of his generation. A protege of legendary songwriters Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark, he quickly became a master storyteller in his own right, with his songs being recorded by Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Joan Baez, Emmylou Harris, The Pretenders, and countless others. The year 1986 saw the release of his record, Guitar Town, which shot to number one on the country charts and is now regarded as a classic of the Americana genre. Subsequent releases like The Revolution Starts...Now (2004), Washington Square Serenade (2007), and TOWNES (2009) received consecutive GRAMMY Awards. His subsequent albums have been equally successful, with hit singles such as "Copperhead Road" and "Ellis Unit One" topping the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Earle was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2020.

Red Barn Summer Kickoff!
June 1, 2025, 2:00 PM
Red Barn Summer Theatre
You are cordially invited to attend a festive gala celebrating the return of Summer and the beginning of a brand new season of the Red Barn Summer Theatre. Casual dress is expected. The “casual-er,” the better.
So we’re having a party. The Red Barn, with an assist from The Design Hub, is having a celebration, and we want YOU to come. We call this open house our “Summer Kick-Off” and it will be held from 2:00 until 5:00 pm on Sunday, June 1st, on the beautiful grounds of the Barn. And inside the Barn. But mostly outside.
It will be fun. Here’s why. The new members of our 2025 Company will be there. You can meet them if you like. They’ll probably be wearing red t-shirts. You can get a guided tour of the Red Barn, led by Artistic Director Michael Taylor. You can purchase or pick up tickets because Stacey and Ellen will have our Box Office open for the first time this year.
You can walk around the theatre and select your favorite seat. You can buy a delicious slice from the Bruno’s Pizza Truck or some beautiful, sweet treats from the Carmelot tent. Both are wonderful, popular Frankfort businesses. Shop Local!
Barntender Lisa will open the Cellar to offer a selection of wines from Hopwood Winery of Zionsville and cold beer from Sun King of Indianapolis. Playing on the Heather’s Flowers Music Stage will be the popular local duo, with the local name Gem City Drifters.
So come out, mingle, bring a picnic if you want, listen to some good music, and enjoy an afternoon in the country, at the Red Barn.
