Join us for an 8-week session of found art classes with Lilwen Jones! In this class you’ll learn how to identify and create with native plants and flowers. How to turn their petals into beads. The differences between pressing and drying, and their respective benefits. How to create jewelry from local rocks and more! This course is all about training your eye to see the hidden art in nature. While also teaching you how to respectfully forage and create with the many unique materials found within the prairies, creeks, and forests of our home.

Featuring SFX Makeup Artists, Wardrobe and Costume Designers, Horror Film Composers. Paranormal Investigators, Live Demonstrations, Tarot & Palm Readings, Scary Short Films, Food & Beverages, Karaoke and Much More!!!
Attendees that may be interested in dressing up, bringing and presenting their art, props, design work, films, their own horror-related items & stories, are highly encouraged to do so. Also, please feel free to bring snacks & treats to share with the group.

Mr. Janz is the author of more than a dozen novels and numerous short stories. His work has been championed by authors like Joe R. Lansdale, Jack Ketchum, and Brian Keene; he has also been lauded by Publishers Weekly, Library Journal, and School Library Journal. His ghost story The Siren and the Specter was selected as a Goodreads Choice nominee for Best Horror. Additionally, his novel Children of the Dark was chosen by Booklist as a Top Ten Horror Book of the Year.

Join us Saturday, October 5 from 1-3pm in our Anna & Harlan Hubbard Gallery on the 2nd floor of the library. Work created by Sanda Davis-Johnston will be on display, with light refreshments served.
Sandra Davis-Johnston was a lifelong resident of Clinton County. Even though she was considered an Unsung Local Artist, she had painted several commissioned pieces through the years. She began her love of painting at a young age and she continued all throughout her life.
Her creative outlet was expressed through different mediums such as oils, acrylics, and pencil drawings. Sandra’s passion for painting was shown through beautiful landscapes, barn scenes, flowers, birds (especially cardinals) and pictures depicting her faith.
