SPARK! is a community wide partnership working to expand arts programming in Missoula County Public Schools. They facilitate and foster connections between district schools, local arts organizations, and teaching artists helping to ensure access to the arts for all MCPS students.

Radius Gallery presents its second group show of all-ceramics, featuring over 50 jaw-dropping functional and sculptural clay artworks by a dozen innovators, from emerging to master ceramicists of the region.
Last Best Printfest // Zootown Arts Community Center

Come out for the ZACC's reception of the Last Best Print Fest, in which printmakers have submitted an edition of prints based on the theme "Authenticity." One of each print is available for purchase at this opening. These portfolio prints will be exhibited at the ZACC through April 28th.

International Wildlife Film Festival // Roxy Theater

The International Wildlife Film Festival celebrates a milestone 40 years of exploring the natural world and honors its past while looking into the future. Missoula will play host to nearly 100 diverse, groundbreaking, and inspirational films from around the world.

Visiting Artist Lecture with Randi O'Brien // Missoula Art Museum
Tue., Apr. 18, 7pm / Website 
Randi O'Brien will deliver a lecture on ceramic abstraction in conjunction with the exhibition Binary Form: Ceramic Abstraction by Trey Hill and Andrea Moon. O'Brien is a ceramicist, art historian, author, and educator who received her MFA in Ceramics and MA in Art History from the University of Montana. She has written about Trey Hill's work for Ceramics Ireland.


Art Associates Meeting // Missoula Art Museum

Join the Art Associates of Missoula at their monthly meeting, where inspirational photographer Antonia Wolf will be speaking. She is known for using light and shadow to create a moment of anticipation between the object and the viewer. These meetings are free and open to the public.


Community Copyright Workshop for Creators // Missoula City Council Chambers
Thu., Apr. 20, 6pm / Website 
Members of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the Montana Bar will give a short presentation on general copyright laws and the processes of submitting a copyright application. Attorneys will then answer questions and assist anyone in completing copyright applications. The Missoula Public Art Committee is a partner for the workshop. The workshop itself is also free and open to the public.


Dedication and Artist Reception // Missoula Art Park

Join Missoula Art Museum, the City of Missoula, and Adventure Cycling at their dedication of the Missoula Art park with a ceremonial tree planting and an artist reception to follow. Meet the artists of the Missoula Art Park's inaugural exhibition, By the Bike, explore sculpture installations, and celebrate at the museum with live music, food, and refreshments.

Earth Day Art and Arbor Ride // starting at Missoula Art Park

Join Missoula Public Art, Missoula in Motion, and City Parks in celebrating Earth Day for a bike tour of public art and champion trees in Missoula. The ride will begin at the soon-to-be revealed Missoula Art Park, travel along family-friendly routes, end at FreeCycles, and last about two hours.
