Science on Screen the 
creatively pairs screenings of classic, cult, science fiction, and documentary films with lively presentations by notable experts from the world of science and technology. 
Both screenings will include a discussion showing the audience the laughter, tears, and joy of designing a bouncy ball meant to crash-land on Mars...for science. More Info!

Jazz Artist Series presents the 39th annual 
UM Buddy DeFranco Jazz Festival  featuring some of the finest jazz performers in the country.  Come hear outstanding young musicians perform each day, professionals presenting sessions on jazz improvisation along with master classes on every instrument.  Each evening you will hear the "Best Section High School Big Band," Outstanding High School Soloists and the UM Jazz Ensemble I along with the special guest artists.

Tapestry: A Guided Movement Improvisation Lab
March 15, 6:30 pm // Yoga Fitness Center 123 Alder Street
Tapestry is a guided movement improvisation class, for ages 16 and older. It is designed to inspire creative collaboration, personal awareness and the aliveness that is integral to well being. The evening will include movement, an art activity, and tea and snacks at intermission. As we prepare to enter spring, we invite you to reflect on your winter lessons and journey forward in community. $25 min. donation. Registration

This year's celebration brings an exciting mix of familiar and new attractions including: International Culture Show featuring contemporary and traditional international performances; an interactive Children's World;  international opportunities and connections in the Global Expo Pavilion; free international films; a lively plaza  with stalls and  fun attractions in the Atrium Fiesta;  a newly  expanded Food Truck section offering delicious ethnic cuisine;  Internationally-themed trivia contests;  Arts Missoula's "Summer Without End"  Virtual Art Exhibit; Study Abroad Storytelling,  free UC  Game Room games and lesson;  and , it being St. Patrick's Day, an exciting new feature - an Irish Extravaganza! On Thursday, March 21 st Lawrence Duncan of Drum Brothers  will be offering a new  5 week West African Hand Drumming Series . Everyone is welcome and extra drums will be available. This series will start from the ground up, so no previous experience is necessary! Students will learn the tones and techniques of West African hand drumming, a beginning repertoire of rhythms, ensemble playing, and the fundamentals of rhythm awareness.
