IACA believes the arts are essential to the health and vitality of our communities and our nation. IACA Mini-Grants generally average $250. Funding is intended to assist with such things as: art supplies, recording studio time, exhibits, performances, project related expenses, etc. Application deadline, Feb. 12, 2020.

IACA Mini-Grants for organizations generally average $350 and are intended to assist with the following: artistic programs that engage the community; projects that involve educating youth in the arts; services for artists; leadership training that will increase an arts organization's strength and capacity for the long term, etc. Application deadline is March 1, 2020.

announces a call for women artists for their new curated online directory for "women creatives worldwide." Founded by immigrant artist Svitlana Martynjuk, the site offers a curated space for woman artists.

Capital City Film Festival
announces call to poets for a poetry project. The Poetry Project will call for 20 local poets who will respond to a CCFF feature film or collection of short films through poetry. Poets will be required to attend a training session on how to respond to film as a medium using a form of ekphrasis poetry that has been adapted for film. Each poet will have 24 hours to write a poem that responds to the work/s they viewed.

announces a call to artists for its 69th annual Kalamazoo Institute of Arts Fair held in June 2020. This juried show features up to 190 fine artists. Application deadline: Jan. 31, 2020. Application fee is $35.

The Rio Grande Balley International Poetry Festival
announces a call to poets for the
International Poetry Festival Anthology
Submit up to three typewritten poems in a legible font. Poems may be of any topic, any style—although visual/shape poems can be difficult due to margin limitations. Submissions accepted by email ONLY. Deadline is March 25, 2020.

is seeking submissions for its literary and visual arts journal that engage or illuminate the theme of "rupture and repair" on some level -- the personal, the communal, the global, or the cosmic. Creative interpretations of the theme are welcome. Deadline is Friday, Jan. 31, 2020, and entries from professionals and amateurs of all ages.

The Arts Council of Greater Lansing
announces a call to all Greater Lansing Teachers for student art for our "Support Young Creatives" billboard program.
Teachers who work with K-12 students who attend any Eaton, Ingham or Clinton County school may apply and submit one artwork to be considered for placement on a digital billboard. Teachers of home-schooled children may also apply.

announces The Ingham Student Art Exhibit, a competition open to all K-12 students within the Ingham Intermediate School District service area. A qualified juror will select 50 works of art to be professionally framed and exhibited at one of several locations across the mid-Michigan area. Scholarship opportunities are offered.

announces call to all high school students residing in Michigan's 8th Congressional District. The winning student will have his or her artwork displayed for one year in the Cannon Tunnel of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Deadline for submissions is March 15, 2020.

34th Annual LowellArts West Michigan Art Competition highlights outstanding artwork by Lower West Michigan artists who reside in a 25-county region. Boynes Emerging Artist Award
announces a call for entries for paintings, drawings and photography of any size or support. Artwork must have been completed in the last three (3) years. Work will be judged based on skill, composition, impact and originality. Open to all artists regardless of country of origin/residence, sex and age. Purpose is to give a platform to talented artists around the world who remain unrecognized for their brilliant work, as well as to support artists at the beginning of their artistic careers.
