Arts Scene: ACPC leading recovery and resources for arts

ACPC was proud to host a Town Hall Meeting for the arts on June 30. Thanks to the 100+ attendees who joined via Crowd Cast, demonstrating the resilient spirit of the arts community in Placer County. Anne Bown-Crawford , Executive Director of the California Arts Council spoke, along with

Town Hall Replay

Arts & Cultural Mapping Grant Application -The ACPC is applying for the National Endowment for the Arts Grant in partnership with Placer County to conduct a new Arts Study and Cultural Mapping Study . In addition, with cooperation from the County, we will be developing a public art policy with a portion of the grant, to create a public art project to be installed in Placer County.

2020 Placer Artists Studios Tour

The Tour will be alive and well in November with revisions to keep artists and Tour goers safe of course. There are several new options for participating artists and more coverage in the digital interactive Tour Guide. Watch for a survey, additional information, and a "Call to Artists" for the November Tour.

ACPC Grants

Thanks to members of our Grants Committee who are developing the criteria for Community Grants and the new grant funds to aid Pandemic recovery.

Watch for the details to be posted on the ACPC website by July 13 for 2020-21 fiscal year. New grant include:

The ACPC Board of Directors met in June (six feet apart) and worked diligently to develop priorities and a plan of action to move the arts forward, post COVID-19. The strategic planning started with updating the mission, noting the vision for the organization.
