Sunday, October 22 at 10:00 am LGBTQ History Month the First Universalist Society in Franklin pleased to invite all to two opportunities on Sunday October 22 to honor LGBTQ individuals and allies alike. At 10:00 am, our worship service will focus on the contributions of LGBTQ folk to our religious tradition and society at large. Then from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm we will view a movie described as a teen romance/comedy. Following the 1 hour and 44 minute movie there will be an opportunity for discussion and conversation. Join us after the Saturday matinee 2pm performance to explore through conversation the close tie between murder and comedy, and why they so often go hand in hand in literature and onstage. Our panel experts are Dr. Liz Faber, Assistant Professor of English and Communication at Dean College and Julie Hennrikus, Executive Director of Sisters in Crime and author of mystery novels written under Julia Henry and Julianne Holmes. Discussion will begin at approximately 4:30pm following the performance.
