The Importance of Being Earnest, A Trivial Comedy for Serious People


October 20 - 23, Dean College Theater presents, The Importance of Being Earnest, A Trivial Comedy for Serious People on the Main Stage. Originally produced in 1895, this play by Oscar Wilde includes clever dialogue, wry wit, and elaborate plot twists. 

This play is the first student production of the 2022 - 2023 academic year.

October 21, 22, 23, Franklin Performing Arts Company presents Rodgers and Hammerstein's The Sound of Music at THE BLACK. The production stars Broadway’s Sara Jean Ford and features Nick Paone, Tyrick Wiltez Jones, Jillian Paige, and choreography by Christopher Rice-Thomson!

Dean Leadership Institute

Governor Michael Dukaksis, speaker


Wednesday, October 26. Dean College is pleased to announce that Governor Michael Dukakis, three-term governor of Massachusetts, will be a Fall 2022 speaker for the Dean Leadership Institute on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

The event will take place at 5:00 p.m. in the Guidrey Center, located inside the Dr. Paula M. Rooney Student Center on the Dean College campus at 109 West Central Street, Franklin, MA. The event is FREE and open to the public. They will tour the Cultural District and gather at THE BLACK BOX around 3:00 pm for a meeting of the Franklin Cultural District Partners.
