Decorated Trees, Music, Refreshments, Fun!

Thursday, December 15, 4:30 to 7:00 pm. Franklin Senior Center presents Winter Wonderland, a Holiday Tree Lighting event. Come out for an evening of holiday cheer and see a display of beautifully decorated Holiday Trees, while enjoying live entertainment and light refreshments. Franklin TV and wfpr.fm will broadcast live music from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. It all happens at: the Senior Center located at 10 Daniel McCahill Street. For details call 508-520-4945.

An Introduction to Hanukkah - A Virtual Event

Thursday, December 15, 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Learn about Hanukkah -- a fun-filled eight-day festival celebrated by people all around the word who practice the Jewish faith -- in this virtual presentation from the Lappin Foundation. The Lappin Foundation is a Massachusetts-based non-profit organization that provides exciting programs for children, teens and adults that spark an interest in Jewish living and learning, as well as foster positive relationships through education with individuals of all faiths. Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus!

Saturday, December 17, 9:00 am to 11:00 am, Franklin's Recreation Department welcomes Santa and Mrs. Claus! Join us for breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus! This is a parent and child event where your child can choose to participate in several crafts and activities including making reindeer food, antler ring toss and creating a Santa selfie hat. Breakfast includes pancakes, assorted fruit and muffins. Fee is per child. Saturday, December 17 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, December 18 at 2:00 pm,'Tis the Season ... An original, large cast musical, first presented by FPAC Holiday Productions in 1995, ’Tis is an upbeat, jazzy extravaganza featuring members of the Kenny Hadley Big Band, with contemporary arrangements of favorite holiday classics in musical styles ranging from R&B, gospel, and Motown to Rock, Pop, and Broadway. Franklin Historical Museum

Exhibits, Gifts and more!

Sunday, December 18, the Franklin Historical Museum will exhibit the first in a series of annual dioramas entitled, "Train Town Franklin" --. A Historical Exact replica of the area around the train depot, circa 1932, a time when the rhythm of the daily trains set the pace for a small New England Town. The exhibit is set to run through 2/5/2023.

While visiting the Museum, check out the Museum Gift Shop which features multiple items for sale including this year’s Ladybug Ornament plus mugs, pillows, maps, etc. for the person on your list who just loves Franklin. Select Museum for more information. 80 West Central Street.

Lifelong Music Academy

Winter Concerts 

The Academy's after-school music education classes will showcase pieces from the first 3 months of their school-year programs. All concerts take place at 6:00 PM in the Horace Mann Middle School Auditorium, 224 Oak Street. Everyone is welcome.

FCD Committee

Franklin's Cultural District Committee (FCDC) engages, promotes, celebrates, and collaborates with Franklin's artists and creatives, as well as organizations, institutions, and businesses. 


The Franklin Cultural District Committee partners with the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Franklin Cultural Council, and the Town of Franklin to promote arts and culture in Franklin.
