Symposium Thank You!!

Thank you to all who contributed to the MetroWest Arts & Culture Symposium. Sponsored by Franklin Cultural Council, with collaborative support from Franklin Cultural District Committee, and Town of Franklin. It was an informative evening1

A sincere thank you to the team at Dean College for the welcoming venue and Magic to Do performance from Pippin by Dean students.

Our earnest thanks is extended to Featured Speaker, Michael Bobbitt and Esteemed Panelists, Edward M. Augustus, Jr., Erin Elizabeth Lynch, and Carolyn Cole. A heartfelt thank you is extended to Kaye Kelly, who thoughtfully guided the evening's discussion as the Symposium Moderator.

We are grateful to Franklin TV, who recorded the Symposium for Cable Access. We hope to have the YouTube link available in a future newsletter.

Dean College opened the MetroWest Arts & Culture Symposium with a a performance of Magic to Do from Pippin. Their performance transported the Symposium attendees to a world focused on the importance of Arts & Culture.

Michael Bobbitt, Executive Director, Mass Cultural Council, was the Featured Speaker. Michael provided foundational knowledge that helped Symposium attendees understand the intersection of Arts & Culture and Economy.

Kaye Kelly, Professor, Berklee College of Music, served as Symposium Moderator.Kaye guided the thoughtful discussion. Panelists included Edward M. Augustus, Jr., Chancellor, Dean College; Erin Elizabeth Lynch, Executive Director, MetroWest Visitors Bureau; and Carolyn Cole, Program Officer for Local Cultural Councils and Cultural Districts, Mass Cultural Council.

Bloom by Amy Adams

Ongoing. The art collection "BLOOM" by artist Amy Adams ushers in the Spring with touches of feminine and floral imagery. It is currently installed at 67 Degrees Brewing. The artwork splashes the walls with plenty of color and invites you to look deeper into the details. This installation is meant to calm and bring joy to the viewer as it encourages exploring the movement and stillness of nature.
