Call for Artists

R.I. Office of the State Medical Examiner

Artwork for the new R.I. Office of State Medical Examiners will be commissioned by the Department of Capital Asset, Management and Maintenance on behalf of the R.I. Department of Health and RISCA through our Public Art Law, which mandates that 1 percent of all state capital construction and renovation funds be allocated to the purchase and maintenance of public art. Through this program, the State recognizes that “public art creates a more humane environment: one of distinction, enjoyment, and pride for all citizens.”

  • Budget: $35,000.
  • Deadline: Nov. 13.
  • Eligibility: Rhode Island residents.

All information and application are found on CallforEntry.org.

Calling All Portrait Artists!

Every year RISCA receives requests for referrals. We are looking to build a comprehensive statewide roster of artists working in different disciplines as a resource. This month we are focusing on artists who specialize in Portraiture.
