AVENUE PLAYERS FALL PRODUCTION

Join the ASH community for the Sacred Heart Avenue Players’ upcoming performances of Clue. Shows are in the Colton Fine Arts Center on Thursday, November 2nd at 6:00 p.m.; Friday, November 3rd at 6:00 p.m.; and Saturday, November 4 th at 3:00 p.m. Doors open 15 minutes before each performance. Tickets are purchased at the door and are $20 for adults and $10 for students and children. The performances are open to the public, so please invite your family and friends. Our student actors and technical crew have been working hard to prepare for what promises to be a hilarious show. ARTS LEAGUE OPENING NIGHT TOAST

Thursday, November 2nd

5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Members of the Rosary Arts League are invited to a wine and cheese soiree in the Rosary Campus Parlor before the opening performance of Clue. We will toast the cast and crew before they take to the stage! The soiree is open to all members of the Arts League and is for adults only. Arts League membership includes two adults per household and does not include tickets to the play, which should be purchased at the door of the Colton Fine Arts Center. Members who RSVP to the soiree by October 30 and purchase a ticket to Thursday night’s play will have premium reserved seats that night. MORE PERFORMING ARTS

Evangeline W. ’28 won the Americas National Teenager Scholarship Organization Spokesmodel competition with her speech on how glass recycling helps Louisiana’s wetlands and took home the National Preteen title.

Caroline K. ’28 recently performed in the ensemble for Singing in the Rain Jr. at Rivertown Theatre. Over the summer, she portrayed the lead role of Marlin in Finding Nemo Jr. at the Jefferson Performing Arts Society, we well as the role of Hannah in Newsies Jr. at Rivertown. She currently is a student of the Debbie Gaudet Screen Actor’s Studio.

Over the summer, Clara G. ’33 attended Act Up Theatre Camp in Ruston for Superhero week. Clara performed in a musical at the end of the week and also prepared her own monologue.

MARTIAL ARTS

We are proud to announce that Vivienne J. ’30 received her second-degree black belt for taekwondo this month.

DANCE

Emma C. ’28 is cast as a party girl and sugar plum fairy attendant in New Orleans Ballet Theatre’s upcoming production of The Nutcracker.

Aniyah E. ’31 attended The American Ballet Theatre’s Young Dancers Summer Program in New York City this past summer. It is an intense program with dancers selected by audition throughout the United States. While Aniyah focused on her dance, she was also happy to visit and experience many of the famous landmarks of the city.

In July, Emily D. ’25 attended The Dance Awards – Nationals in Orlando through Off Broadway Dance Studio. Emily performed a solo, auditioned for “Best Dancer” in the teen category, and performed in the closing number of the Dance Awards along with “Best Dancer” teens and seniors from around the

U.S. and Canada.

In June, Norah F. ‘31 competed in the Revolution Dance Nationals competition in Pensacola. She

competed in many group numbers as well as a duet with her partner, and they placed first in their

category and fourth overall in their age group. Once nationals ended, Norah travelled to Orlando to

participate in Power Pak, an invitation-only, four-day, intensive workshop in Disney World. From a group of more than 300 dancers from the U.S., Canada, and Porto Rico, Norah was awarded one of twelve scholarships.

GYMNASTICS

Grace C. ’32 and Caroline L. ’31 are members of NOLA Gymnastics acrobatic team (Women’s Quad level 7). The quad placed first at the Louisiana USAA Gymnastics Acrobatics Championships in April.
