2024 has been a Big Year for us.

Our 2024 Keiki Music Collection was nominated for a Hoku Award for Best Island Music Album of the Year. The songs told the stories of endangered Species of Hawaiʻi.

Hoʻala was a 4-Day, full mind & body experience in Professional Development Training for Teachers & Teaching Artists that expanded our horizons!

Singers of Aloha Keiki Choir presented Music

as a Community Service.

We sang for the Whales,

We performed for Sunflowers and

We recorded a new song

with John Cruz and Steve Grimes called Lahaina Town!

MAKING PROGRESS...

To date, with the help of our generous donors, plus grants from state and private foundations, When We Shine Foundation has been able to hire local teaching Artists, sponsor dozens of programs, including professional development for teachers and creative arts programs in our schools. This has included Songwriting Residencies that have resulted in over 40 co-written songs with students! We are proud of their artistry, their beautiful voices and stories, we call our keiki songwriters,
