Enjoy RYSE film festival & El Cerrito Arts Day!
Join us in celebrating local artistic achievements
As one of the founders and a current board member of the  RYSE Youth Center, I am proud to see our young people set a shining example of leadership and expression.

I hope you'll support them and join us for RYSE's 1st film festival, "Truth Be Told: Justice Through My Eyes," on Saturday October 17 at 7 p.m.

The screening and awards ceremony will be held at East Bay Center for the Performing Arts, located at 339 11th Street (near Macdonald Ave.) in Richmond.

This event was created to highlight and empower youth voices and visions through film and will showcase riveting works by young filmmakers from across California.

Tickets are on sale here.

This celebration is sponsored by the RYSE Center and Children's Defense Fund.
For more fun and cultural enrichment, you can also join me at El Cerrito City Hall for the free Arts Day Festival, a great event that is part of the city's Arts Month lineup.

This will be a vibrant atmosphere that's fun for the whole family, featuring crafts, puppet shows, live music and much more.

If you'd like to get involved in the fun as a volunteer or as an artist, or have other questions, feel free to call  Suzanne Iarla at 510-215-4318.
See you there,
