Dr. Arun Gandhi, the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, will speak to 50 seniors at the Integrated Arts and Technology High School. The title of Dr. Gandhi's talk, “Be the change you want to see in the world,” will kick-off their senior capstone change project.
Seniors have been reading Dr. Gandhi’s book called the
Legacy of Love
and making connections to how they can become change agents in their community and beyond. Students and staff will hear Dr. Gandhi speak about his latest book called the
Gift of Anger
, which has been on the bestseller list throughout the world and on Amazon. Dr. Gandhi will be discussing his personal experiences of living with his grandfather, the message of nonviolence, and how we can channel anger into a positive force.
These seniors will have the opportunity to implement meaningful change projects for the Gandhi Institute, organizations, and schools in India and South Africa. They will reflect, set goals, and develop an action plan that implements the ideas and messages of both Mahatma and Arun Gandhi into their own lives, school, and the community.
