I want to assure our members that as an integral part of the Western North Carolina community, we are prepared to provide assistance with your financial needs and are taking steps to avoid potential disruptions of service to our members. We will continue to stay abreast of recommendations or mandates from Health Officials, the North Carolina Credit Union Division, the National Credit Union Administration, and the North Carolina Governor's Office.
As of Friday, March 20, in order to minimize potential exposure to our staff and members, we closed all Mountain Credit Union lobbies. All financial transactions are now being processed through the drive-thru window or via electronic and remote channels. If you need assistance please call your local branch or submit your contact information by clicking on the orange tab below. A Mountain Credit Union representative will contact you no later than the next business day.
A reminder to you - your money is safe at Mountain Credit Union. Mountain Credit Union is financially secure and all deposits are insured up to $250,000.00 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). While we could never have envisioned this scenario we are prepared financially and operationally with a formal Business Continuity Plan. We have invested in state-of-the-art technology to continue to provide services to you remotely as long as necessary. We hope to get back to normal as quickly as possible.
