Salem Merger Charge Conference Rescheduled
In accordance with para 2546 of the 2016 UM Book of Discipline, Merger of Local United Methodist Churches - a special Charge Conference is being held by Allentown: Asbury UMC, called by Superintendent Steven Morton,for the purpose of considering a proposal to merge with the congregation at Allentown: Salem UMC:
Wednesday, May 5 at 5 PM
All are welcome to attend but only the elected members of the current church council are responsible for voting on the proposal (para 246.2).

Upcoming UMW Circle Meetings:
Asbury member, Bob Lawhorn, who runs classes at Cedar Crest College for their Learning in Retirement series, will speak to us on the topic "Our Gut Bacteria." This is an emerging and fascinating field concerning our immune system as it works with the brain. Research is ongoing with relationship between gut bacteria and disease. Join the circle meeting to learn about this new field.

Priscilla Circle will meet on Tuesday, April 13 at 7 PM via Zoom. Judy Ehninger will lead discussion on Chapter 6, "A Blessed Garden: A Hopeful Vision" from The Grace of Les Miserables study guide. Scholarship Deadline This Week
Applications for the Clara D. Koch scholarship (via Asbury's United Methodist Women) are due this week. Visit to learn more and apply.

Grief Support Group
Rev. Evelyn Stupp - a retired United Methodist pastor and certified grief counselor - and Pastor Barbara Lee will facilitate a 4-week Grief Support program at Asbury.

If you are struggling with the loss of a loved one, we invite you to attend weekly meetings from April 20 - May 11 from 2 PM - 3:30 PM in room 202.
