In early January, we asked you to sign up to write notes of encouragement to educators and staff at Parkway Manor Elementary, right down the street from Asbury. Those cards were delivered in late January; and this week during our drive-thru imposition of ashes, a staff member from Parkway Manor delivered a thank-you card to us in gratitude of the notes and support.
Some of the comments included:
"Thank you so much for this very sweet gesture. It truly brightened by day!"
"What a surprise! Thank you for the card and the Wawa gift card! It is nice to feel appreciated!"
"Much appreciated! An amazing idea from amazing people. Thank you!"
"Thank you for showing such kindness and appreciation for what do. Your card and words of encouragement meant so much to me. Thanks again!"
Thanks for your support of this initiative to let our local school staff know that they are appreciated in these challenging times.
Two wonderful pieces of news from Pastor Jerome Kennedy, one of our mission partners in Liberia:
1. Clothing from Barrels of Love was distributed to children at the Kennedy Early Learning Daycare in Liberia
2. A project to provide clean drinking water for a town in Bong County, Liberia has gotten underway thanks to your donations and the leadership of Asbury in Mission
Thanks for all of your continued support of missions in this community and around the world.
